ORDER


One of the long standing needs of the State, especially in Health Sector is setting up of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the state. Union Govt conveyed its willingness to the above need and had requested the State Government to identify appropriate land for conducting a joint inspection to the site to be proposed for setting up

of AIIMS. Accordingly, land available at Industrial Growth Centre (IGC) at Kinalur village in Kozhikode District under the ownership of Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation Limited (KSIDC Ltd) at Kinaloor in Kozhikode District was identified as the site for the above purpose. As per the decision taken in the minutes of the meeting read as Ist paper read above, Industries Department was requested to allot 140 Acres of land available with KSIDC Ltd at Kinalur village in Kozhikode District to fulfill the dream project. Subsequently, as per the minutes read as second paper babove, it was also decided to hand over 153.46 acres of land at Kinalur village in Kozhikode District owned by KSIDC Ltd to Health & Family Welfare Department for the above purpose . Details of land is given below

  1. As per Government Order read as 3rd paper above, Industries Department was requested to allot maximum extent of land available with KSIDC Ltd at Kinalur village in Kozhikode District and also land available at adjoining Kanthalad village in Kozhikode District in the name of Director of Medical Education for the development of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). As per the letter read as 4th paper above, the Managing Director, KSIDC Ltd had reported its willingness to transfer 151 Acres (approx) of land at Industrial Growth Centre (IGC) in Kinalur and Kanthalad villages respectively in Kozhikode District for setting up the proposed All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) based on minutes of the consecutive meetings read as papers 1st & 3rd above. Meanwhile, Revenue Department had prepared the Sketch and Mahassar report of 142.678 acres of land including 35.7342 hectares of land in re-survey no.108 in Kinalur village in Kozhikode District and 22.0072 hectares of land in unsurvey no.s 1496/6, 1504/4, 1505/2, 1506/3, 1507/1,5,6, 1515/1, 3, 1516/3 in Kanthalad village in Kozhikode District.

Government have examined the matter in detail and are pleased to accord sanction to the Managing Director, Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation Limited (KSIDC Ltd) for dispossession & hand over of 142.678 acres of unutilized land which is owned by KSIDC Ltd at Industrial Growth Centre (IGC) at Kinalur and Kanthalad villages respectively in Kozhikode District to Revenue Department for transferring the same to Health & Family Welfare Department for setting up a unit of All India Institute of Medical Sciences(AIIMS) in the State subject to the condition that the land shall not be used for any purpose other than All India Institute of Medical Sciences and in case of such an eventuality, ownership of the land shall be retained with Industries Department/KSIDC Ltd. Government are also pleased to accord sanction to the Managing Director, KSIDC Ltd. to hand over the unused land from the land allotted to


Usha School of Athletics to Revenue Department on lease basis once the procedures for cancellation of allotment of above-mentioned unused land is completed .
